Shipping Policy

1. Scope of This Policy

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed on www.swposha.com across our three product categories: gourmet and traditional food products, handcrafted home décor, and traditional art. Different handling and transit rules apply to each category and are detailed in the relevant sections below.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Returns & Refund Policy, all available at www.swposha.com.

2. Order Processing Time

Processing time is the period between order confirmation and handover to our logistics partner. It is separate from the delivery time shown in Section 3.

2a. Food products

1–3 business days. Our food products are made in small batches by artisan partners with limited advance preparation — this preserves freshness and quality.

2b. Handcrafted décor & art

1–2 business days. Each item is individually inspected and carefully packed before dispatch.

2c. Made-to-order & custom artisan products

5–10 business days (or as stated on the product page). The lead time is clearly displayed on the product page and confirmed by email when you order.

  Important — cancellation of made-to-order items: Once production has commenced (typically within 24 hours of order confirmation), we cannot cancel or reverse the artisan’s work. If you need to cancel after production has started, we will issue a full store credit valid for 12 months — no cash refund will be possible at that stage. This restriction is displayed on the product page before purchase. If production has not yet started, you may cancel for a full refund within the standard 12-hour window (see Section 16).

2d. Mixed orders

Mixed orders (food + décor/art) are dispatched together. Processing time defaults to the longer of the two categories. If you need a food item urgently, we recommend placing a separate order.

Business days are Monday to Saturday, excluding national public holidays and declared Swposha non-operational days.

4. Cash on Delivery (COD)

COD is available on orders up to ₹5,000 at select pin codes (displayed at checkout).

  • COD handling fee: ₹49 per order, inclusive of GST, non-refundable.
  • Payment: Please keep exact change. Delivery executives may not carry change.
  • COD not available for: Made-to-order/custom items, orders above ₹5,000, and certain remote pin codes.

COD suspension policy

If COD orders are refused 3 or more times within any rolling 6-month period, COD may be suspended for your account. Before suspending:

  • We will send you a written notice by email at least 7 days in advance.
  • You may respond to dispute any refusals you believe were recorded in error.
  • If suspended, you may request reinstatement after 3 months by emailing support@swposha.com.

5. Failed Delivery & Re-attempts

Our logistics partners make up to 3 delivery attempts:

  • Attempt 1: Standard delivery on the assigned day.
  • Attempt 2: Following business day if Attempt 1 fails.
  • Attempt 3: After a 1-day gap, with advance notification to you.

If all 3 attempts fail, the order is returned to our warehouse and you will be contacted to arrange re-dispatch.

Refund on failed delivery

We distinguish between two scenarios:

  • Customer-caused failure (e.g. you were unavailable after receiving delivery notifications): Re-dispatch will attract an additional shipping fee. If you choose not to re-dispatch, a partial refund will be issued less the original shipping cost.
  • Carrier-caused failure (e.g. no delivery attempt was made, incorrect address scanned by logistics partner, or no notification was sent to you): Re-dispatch is free of charge. If you choose not to re-dispatch, a full refund including original shipping cost will be issued

6. Festive & Peak Season Delays

During major festive seasons (Diwali, Holi, Onam, Pongal, Raksha Bandhan, Christmas, New Year), processing and delivery may be extended by 2–5 additional business days due to high order volumes and peak logistics network pressure.

We recommend placing festive orders at least 10–14 days in advance. A festive-season notice will appear on our website when extended timelines apply.

7. Bulk & Corporate Gifting Orders

  • Contact support@swposha.com at least 15–21 days before your required delivery date.
  • We will provide a dedicated quote including product, custom packaging, and shipping costs — with full GST breakdown.
  • Bulk orders may be staggered across multiple dispatches depending on artisan capacity.
  • A partial advance payment may be required for confirmed bulk orders.
